Sognefjord Swim Festival 2009: 7th – 9th August
Welcome to our celebration of the most beautiful fjord in the world. The Sognefjord Swim Festival is organised by fjord enthusiasts from central Sognefjord. We aim to show that the mighty Sognefjord does not separate local communities, but unites them. This unique event not only brings local people together, it also brings national and international swimmers, kayakers and spectators to the Sognefjord. In addition to developing local cooperation, the festival aims to promote sport and tourism in the region, encourage water safety and develop open water swimming in Norway.
